GeorgiaThe Story
Built in 1856 by Samuel S. Dunlap as the centerpiece of his cotton plantation worked by enslaved people, the house was occupied by Union troops during the 1864 Battle of Dunlap Hill. It survives as one of Macon's oldest homes.
