Hazen's Division at the Canoochee River

On December 7, 1864, Oliver's brigade of Hazen's division pushed down the Ogeechee toward the Canoochee River bridge but found it ablaze and Confederates dug in on the far bank, forcing a delay as Sherman's army tightened around Savannah.
