The Story
This hilltop burial ground in northwestern Catoosa County dates to 1886, when it surrounded the newly organized Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Dailey Hill Road. After the congregation relocated to the Boynton community and became Boynton Baptist Church, the graveyard was left idle and grew over for several years. The Boynton Lions Club later acquired and restored the site, and it endures today as a well-kept community cemetery still known variously as Pleasant Hill, Dailey Hill, and New Boynton.
