Bush Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery lies in rural Floyd County southwest of Rome and takes its name from the brush arbor, an open shelter of poles and branches, under which the pioneer congregation first gathered to worship. The burial ground holds early Floyd County settlers and Confederate veterans, including soldiers of the 29th and 7th Georgia Infantry, with marked graves reaching back into the mid-1800s. The church's own early records were destroyed by fire, leaving the headstones as the principal surviving record of the community it served.
