Imagine It! the Children's Museum of Atlanta

The Children's Museum of Atlanta is a nonprofit children's museum downtown, adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park. Founded in 1988 as a "Museum Without Walls" that carried mobile exhibits and outreach into communities citywide, it opened its permanent home to the public in 2003 and operated under the name "Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta" from 2003 until 2011. Designed for children roughly ages 0 to 8, the roughly 16,000-square-foot museum centers on hands-on, STEAM-based play, with signature areas such as the Fundamentally Food grocery-and-farm experience, the Tools for Solutions simple-machines exhibit, and a toddler-only Crawl Space. It is one of only a handful of children's museums in Georgia.
