Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church was built in 1826, and the adjoining cemetery took shape soon after. Joshua Cravey deeded four acres south of the old Bainbridge-Thomasville stagecoach road in 1834, and Jonathan C. Hawthorn later added four more acres surrounding the meeting house. When the stage road was rerouted in the early 1900s, the graveyard was left sitting in front of the church.
