This burial ground grew up around Concord Primitive Baptist Church, a congregation whose roots reach into the early 1800s. In May 1815, George Morris deeded two acres for a meetinghouse in what was then the 17th district of Baldwin County, land later absorbed into Jasper County. Reflecting its frontier-era beginnings, some of the oldest graves here are unmarked or noted only by rough fieldstones.
