The Story
Also recorded as Trinity Methodist Church Cemetery, this small graveyard now lies within the Fort Stewart military reservation in training area A14, west of Fort Stewart Road 51. It survives from a rural congregation and farming community that predated the Army post, whose residents were displaced when the installation was established. Roughly three dozen burials remain on the site, which can be reached only with base access. It stands as a quiet reminder of the settlements that once dotted this part of Liberty County before the land became military ground.
