Faith Baptist Church began in 1957 as Faith Baptist Chapel, meeting in members' homes near the corner of Fifth Avenue and Chestnut Street in Chatsworth. Because that in-town location left no room for a cemetery, the congregation bought property on Hyden Tyler Road in 1990, next to the Blue Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, and built its present church there in 1997. The congregation is now known as Faith Worship Center and Academy.
