The Mayham Tower

During the 1781 siege of British-held Fort Cornwallis, Patriot forces under Pickens and 'Light Horse Harry' Lee built this tall log-and-earth tower. Its elevated cannon raked the fort, forcing the garrison's surrender on June 5.
