The Story

Made Screven County's rowdy seat in 1797, Jacksonboro withered after itinerant preacher Lorenzo Dow, ill-treated by residents around 1821, reportedly cursed it. The town faded; the 1815 Seaborn Goodall house is nearly all that remains.
