The Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Glennville was dedicated on November 28, 2007, one of two state veterans cemeteries operated by the Georgia Department of Veterans Service. Occupying the roughly 42-acre former Dyess Farm along U.S. Highway 301 north of Glennville and about 25 miles west of Fort Stewart, it offers in-ground burial sections, columbaria, a chapel, and a visitor center for eligible veterans and their families. When fully developed, the cemetery is projected to become the final resting place for more than 21,000 veterans and dependents.
