The Story

Begun in 1929 by B.F. Goodrich for its Martha Mills tire-fabric plant, Silvertown was a planned 'model' village designed by landscape architect Earle Sumner Draper. Named for a Goodrich tire line, it merged into Thomaston in 1958.
