The Story
Poulan Cemetery, also recorded as Poulan Presbyterian Cemetery, is the principal burial ground for the small railroad town of Poulan in Worth County and holds well over a thousand marked graves. Its most notable resident is Charles Pelham (1835-1908), a lawyer who went on to serve as a United States Congressman in the nineteenth century, giving this quiet rural cemetery an unexpected connection to national politics. The grounds sit just off East Church Street on the edge of the community.
