Blue Ridge exists because a railroad ended here. The same line now carries sightseers along the Toccoa River to the twin border towns of McCaysville and Copperhill. This drive covers downtown, the old depot, a family orchard and a second historic depot up the line, and finishes at the painted state line in McCaysville. The scenic railway runs on a seasonal calendar and its winter schedule differs from summer, so check dates before planning around a ride. Everything here works whether or not you board the train.
Blue Ridge: Depot, Orchards & the Twin Towns is a self-guided driving tour of Blue Ridge, built around its heritage side.
