Pinnacle Gallery

The Pinnacle Gallery is one of the Savannah College of Art and Design's exhibition venues in the city's historic district, presenting rotating shows of contemporary work by students, faculty, and invited artists across disciplines. Past exhibitions have included the 2003 metals-focused show "Precious Metals." As with SCAD's other galleries, it operates primarily as a teaching and public-exhibition space linked to the university's degree programs rather than holding a fixed permanent collection. SCAD, founded in Savannah in 1978, established this network of galleries to give its large student body professional exhibition opportunities while adding contemporary art to the downtown streetscape.
