Oglethorpe University (1995)

Chartered in 1835 near Milledgeville as one of the Deep South's first denominational colleges, Oglethorpe closed during the Civil War and was refounded by Thornwell Jacobs in Brookhaven, where its campus rose beginning in 1915.
