Lamar Cemetery is a historic African American burial ground at the corner of Houston Lake and Feagin Mill Roads, in an area known as Wellston at the time of many of its interments. By 2007 the site had become overgrown and largely forgotten until an Eagle Scout restoration project cleared it, installed a new sign, and mapped 174 identified graves. It is also remembered as the Houston Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
