Columbus Botanical Gardens

The Columbus Botanical Garden is a roughly 36-acre garden and nature preserve on Weems Road in Columbus, founded in 1999. At its heart stands the historic Adams Farmhouse, a southern farmhouse built in the 1890s by the Adams family, who farmed the surrounding valley; the house was restored beginning in 2000 and later renovated, retaining its wrap-around porch, high ceilings and hardwood floors while gaining modern amenities. The grounds offer walking paths, themed plantings and seasonal programming, and the farmhouse is used for guided tours and special events. As a community-supported nonprofit garden, it functions both as a horticultural showcase and as a venue for education and weddings in the Chattahoochee Valley.
