Boshears Memorial Fly-in

The Boshears Memorial Fly-in, later known as Boshears Skyfest, is an annual aviation event held at Daniel Field in Augusta, Georgia, honoring aviation pioneers Forrest and Buster Boshears. Staged since 1991, typically on the third weekend of October, it grew from a general-aviation celebration into one of the largest air shows in Georgia, drawing thousands of spectators to watch aerial acrobatics and displays. The event was interrupted in 2001 after the September 11 attacks and again in 2013 during the federal government shutdown. In 2016, changes in Federal Aviation Administration regulations ended the signature over-field flight demonstrations previously permitted at the small urban airfield.
